Work on the Cabreira pit completed
The field work of the Plan Cuadrienal de Memoria Democrática, in this 2024, comes to an end
Last Thursday, 28th November, the work in the grave in the old cemetery in the parish of Cabreira was completed. We fulfilled the objectives formulated at the beginning, as we located a burial site that presents high indications of being the grave and, in addition, we found the remains of four individuals who could fit, according to a preliminary analysis of the forensic scientist, with the people we were looking for. We have yet to find the fifth body referred to in the civil register of deaths and the oral memory, as it would be a group of five people and not four. While awaiting the definitive analysis, the means will be sought to carry out genetic tests and check if they are the Moaña residents, reported missing in 1936.
